Cheer and Dance at the University of Queensland since 2014
UNIVERSITY CHEERLEADING
As one of the fastest growing sports in Australia, Cheerleading is dynamic, fun and inclusive, and allows athletes to challenge themselves whilst in a supportive, team environment. At UQCS, our teams train once a week for two hours to create routines of a high standard that include a combination of stunting, tumbling and dance. The teams at UQCS are all competitive, and give athletes the opportunity to be involved in a competitive, performance based sport while they are at University.

UQCS are affiliated with Queensland Cheer Elite (QCE) - Australian Cheerleading Club of the Year in 2017 - with all cheer training taking place at their gym in Kedron. This allows UQCS athletes the chance to train in a specialised cheer facility that includes full sized sprung floors and all of the necessary training equipment.
